Human/Machine Interaction

  • WAAPA Music Auditorium 2 Bradford Street Mount Lawley, WA, 6050 Australia (map)

Fifty years ago Gordon Mumma's Hornpipe ushered in a new kind of music allowing human and machine interaction in the form of a ‘semi-automatic response to the sounds generated by the performer’. Today human/machine interaction from Siri to Google has become ubiquitous; in this concert WAAPA Composition and Music Technology students explore the implications and consequences of this new form of music.

$11 tickets from: http://www.waapa.ecu.edu.au/performances-and-events/performances/2017/human-machine-interaction
